COVID-19: Nigeria Hits Highest Single Day Record As 553 Tests Positive

Nigeria on Saturday added 553 new cases of the coronavirus, making it the largest single day increase on record, to bring the tally in the country to 9, 855.

Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, also recorded its highest single day record with 378 new cases. 12 new deaths were also recorded to bring the total countrywide to 273, while 2, 856 recoveries have been recorded, according to data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
