The publisher of Ovation International and PDP chieftain, Chief Dele Momodu has thrown his weight behind under fire Arise Tv morning show anchor, Rufai Oseni.
Recall that the tough-talking presenter came under criticism for his style of journalism which have not gone down well with a section of the country, especially those sympathetic to the ruling party and government.
The unruffled Rufai irked his critics only few days ago after an outburst with a guest, Jesutega Onokpasa, their argument got to a fever pitch that Dr. Reuben Abati had to call for break when he could not tame the due.
However, while social media has been awashed with criticisms over Oseni’s style of journalism, many went as far as dismissing him as a trained journalist, veteran journalist and publisher of one of the most successful celebrity journals Nigeria has had yet, Chief Dele Momodu wrote:
“I have read a lot of articles, essays, comments and commentaries about Rufai Oseni’s style of interviewing guests on ARISE NEWS TELEVISION… Majority of them have been quite venomous and downright acerbic… Does he deserve to be criticised? Why not? All of us who criticise others should expect people to get angry every now and then, but I don’t expect them to get so abusive. Anyway.
I’m a big fan of @rufaioseni , warts and all. And the reason is simple. It is about his intellectual prowess. He is sound and confident. His style is unique to him and it fascinates or irritates his critics and admirers differently. I’m writing this to encourage him. He should remain brilliant and focused 💯. GOD bless him mightily…”
