Primate Ayodele’s Prophecy Comes to Pass as Adeleke Wins Osun Election on Accord Platform

The prophecy of the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, concerning the political future of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has taken centre stage following Adeleke’s victory in the 2026 Osun State governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party.

Primate Ayodele had, months before the election, declared that Governor Adeleke would secure a second term in office, describing the victory as divinely ordained.

In February 2025, Ayodele publicly told Adeleke that he had been “ordained” to rule Osun State again, regardless of the political forces that might emerge against him. The prophecy was made at an empowerment programme organised by the cleric’s church in Lagos.

The cleric had specifically warned that Adeleke would defeat whoever the All Progressives Congress (APC) presented against him, insisting that the governor’s victory was “divine.” He also recalled that he had met Adeleke in 2017 and allegedly told him that he would win the 2018 Osun governorship election but would initially be denied the seat.

Ayodele’s prediction became particularly noteworthy after Adeleke later left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and adopted the Accord Party as his platform for the 2026 election. Adeleke formally unveiled Accord as his new political platform in December 2025 and subsequently emerged as the party’s governorship candidate.

Despite the change of political platform and a strong challenge from the APC’s Bola Oyebamiji and other contenders, Ayodele maintained his position that Adeleke had what it would take to win a second term. In June 2026, the cleric again declared that Adeleke had been “anointed” to win the election, although he warned the governor to remain vigilant and protect his mandate.
As the election approached, Ayodele further cautioned Adeleke against complacency, warning him to be watchful of alleged attempts to undermine his electoral victory.

The 2026 Osun governorship election was held on August 15, with Adeleke contesting under the Accord Party. Results emerging from the election showed the incumbent maintaining a strong position across several local government areas, including a decisive victory in his home Ede North Local Government Area.

The development has therefore renewed attention on Primate Ayodele’s earlier declarations, with supporters of the cleric pointing to the outcome as a fulfilment of his repeated prophecy concerning Adeleke’s second-term bid.
Ayodele’s prediction is particularly significant because his initial declaration was made at a time when Adeleke was still a member of the PDP and before the governor eventually moved to Accord. The fact that the prophecy remained consistent despite the subsequent political realignment has become a major talking point among political observers and supporters of the INRI cleric.

With Adeleke emerging victorious on the Accord platform, the development adds another chapter to the long-running relationship between Primate Ayodele’s political prophecies and major electoral events in Nigeria.

For the INRI leader, the Osun election represents the fulfilment of a declaration he made long before the campaign season reached its peak: that Ademola Adeleke would return to the Osun Government House for a second term.
