…Gospel singer reveals how she balances pulpit and studio
For Pastor Mrs Abimbola Gbadebo, pastoring and singing are not conflicting callings but complementary ones.
“Music is a powerful preaching tool. Many of my songs are born directly out of prayers, sermons and spiritual encounters from pastoral work,” she told Akin Sokoya Akinyele.
Gbadebo, who is set to launch her new album _Iyin Oluwa_ as she celebrates her birthday, said structure and grace have helped her balance both.
“By setting clear priorities, keeping a structured schedule and relying on God’s grace alongside supportive leadership in the ministry, I am able to fulfill both callings harmoniously,” she said.
On challenges in gospel music, she cited balancing family, ministry and production schedules, and the huge cost of quality recording and distribution.
“With faith, perseverance and strong support from family and church, every challenge has become a stepping stone,” she said.
