As part of positive gestures to appreciate the impact of the immediate past president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, towards nation building and infrastural development, President Muhammadu Buhari has named the railway station in Agbor, Delta State, after him.
The Railway Station and Complex will henceforth be known as “Goodluck Jonathan Railway Station and Complex.”
Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who announced the approval during his inspection of the Warri-Itakpe Rail Line on Saturday, said railway fares are expected to increase when the service resumes especially on the Abuja-Kaduna line.
Classic recalls that Jonathan during his 6-year tenure re-started the country’s railway projects, which the present administration is completing.
