ACCESS BANK LAUNCHES 5TH EDITION OF “W” HEALTH MONTH PROGRAM

 

 

Access Bank Plc, a prominent player in the retail industry, has unveiled the 5th edition of its ‘W’ Initiative Health Month Program, reaffirming its commitment to promoting women’s well-being.

The annual women’s health month program is scheduled for October 2023.

Recognizing the paramount importance of women’s health, Access Bank aims to make a positive impact on the lives of women within the community. The bank’s initiative is designed to raise awareness about the vital significance of regular health check-ups, preventative care, and education on health-related matters. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance the overall quality of healthcare available to women in Nigeria.

During the unveiling ceremony at the bank’s head office, Abiodun Olubitan, Group Head of the W Initiative, stated, “Access Bank has consistently led the way in empowering women, and our commitment remains unwavering.” He further explained the comprehensive activities planned for this October to empower women across the country.

The initiatives include: Free cervical cancer and hepatitis B screenings, discounts on annual health packages, informative health talk sessions at branches, complimentary virtual therapy session on World Mental Health Day, engaging “W” health webinar on PCOS, sexual wellness, and menopause, free eye screenings for World Sight Day, and an array of inspiring events to support the health journey of female clientele

Olubitan emphasized that this campaign aligns with their commitment to social responsibility and empowering women in the community. A healthy and well-informed female population is better equipped to achieve their personal and financial goals. Access Bank invites everyone to join in their mission to promote women’s health and well-being.

The ‘W’ Initiative has consistently advocated for healthcare accessibility for women, exemplified through the Maternal Health Service Support (MHSS). This discounted health financing product facilitates the payment of medical bills for fertility treatments, natal support, and other specialized procedures, making quality healthcare more accessible and convenient for women and their families.
