The popular exhortation that, whatever one finds doing, should be done with one’s entirety, has again proven to be rewarding; when judiciously adhered to.
This is the case with DCP Sunday Olukayode, who was recently promoted to the rank of CP and subsequently deployed to Plateau State Command.
The quintessential police chief, who hail from Eruku town, in Ekiti Local Government of Kwara state, has been lauded by the state government and Kwarans, for his prudence, commitment and unblemished track records.
Mr Olukayode had risen through the ranks, and has served in various commands before his present deployment, among the commands he has served meritoriously; includes: Kwara, Imo, Ábíá, Anambra, Enugu, Benue, Ebonyi, Lafia and Lagos State. While serving in these States, he has displayed a high level of professionalism, unmatched leadership qualities and admirable legacies for others to follow.
In a brief chat with the publisher of BethNews Media, Oluwaseun Fabiyi the new Plateau Commissioner of Police attributed his elevation to his commitment to duty and the supernatural ability of God, to favour and uplift an individual.
When asked why he chooses to live a modest lifestyle in spite of his feats in the police force, he said there’s no reason to live a life of pride and anxiety. He is quoted as saying that, “I have not had any dirty deal with anyone that would warrant anxiety or suspensions, so there’s no cause for fear. As much as possible, I strive to be a good ambassador for myself, my family, my community and the profession”
To say that CP Olukayode wouldn’t request for or accept bribe, is to question his faith in Christ. He is an ordained Deacon in Living Faith Church aka Winners’ Chapel.
This illustrious Son of Erukucity, a bordering town between Kwara and Kogi State, is popularly known as ‘Jingo Star’. He is a Psychologist, a graduate of University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is joyfully married to Deaconess Bose Olukayode; a beautiful and an astute Daughter of Erukuland, from the family of the Arowojobes.
Their union is blessed with 3 children, who are graduates: two Lawyers and a Mathematician.
OWA of Erukucity, OWA in council and Erukucity progressive Union EPU rejoices with CP Sunday Olukayode.
Big Congratulations sir!!!
