…stop running after men as Christians
The General Overseer and Senior Pastor of Fountain of Treasures Assembly, Apostle Austin Peters have called on Christians to stop running after men for survival in this critical times.
Apostle Peters made this call during his sermon on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at FOTA headquarters, Akure.
He said with men it is impossible but not with God, that men can only give you crumbs with insults when you run after them but when God gives you the gift of men, they will come into your life for good.
When God gives you men, they will never mind your limitations in life, their duty is to support through your destiny.
“When God want to lift a man, He gives him the gift of men. They could come in form of friends, he said.
“Some friends comes for a reason, some for a season while others come for a lifetime.
The people that come to you for a reason would have noticed something about you that they when to be part of, and they’re there to either add value or take from you.
Proverbs 18:24 says “a man that hath friends must shew himself friendly, and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
The seasonal friends are such friends that are in your life for a reason and once that reason is achieve off they go. These kind of friends made come positively, as soon as they deliver what they come for, the relationship is over. They can as well come in negative form.
However, there are friends who are sent from God to be with you for a lifetime. They’re there to help you succeed in life, lifting you through life struggles.
2 Chronicles 17:18 “These were the men who served the king, besides those he stationed in the fortified cities throughout Judah.”
Forcing yourself on anybody is tantamount to killing your future. If God have appointed a man in your life, you won’t struggle to enjoy his attention.
Speaking further, he encouraged singles sucking life partners never to force themselves on someone who doesn’t love or have regards for them.
He opined that a brother who doesn’t love or have respect for you and you either force yourself or manipulated your way to have him marry you, you would eventually become an object of ridicule in his house.
It takes only God to put reasonable men to our lives when he want to take us to a higher realms.
Recounting how men where coming to David day by day to help him until he became strong, Apostle Austin who received Merit award at CAMA 2024 for excellence in Real Estate services advised Christians to focus on God and allow Him fix their lives.
