PCRC National Leadership Pays Courtesy Visit to Lagos State Commissioner of Police

The National leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), led by its distinguished National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, today paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, at the Lagos State Police Command.
The high-powered delegation included prominent stakeholders and supporters of community policing, notably Chief Ambassador Elizabeth Mojekwu, Chief Executive Officer of Tobby Royal Suites, among other distinguished members of the PCRC National Executive.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing partnership between the PCRC and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in advancing community policing initiatives, enhancing public trust, and fostering collaborative efforts toward improved security across Lagos State.
Speaking during the visit, the National Chairman, Alhaji Olaniyan, reaffirmed the PCRC’s unwavering commitment to supporting the police in intelligence gathering, crime prevention, and promoting harmonious relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. He emphasized that effective policing thrives on cooperation, mutual respect, and active citizen participation.

In his response, CP Tijani Fatai expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the PCRC for its consistent role in bridging the gap between the police and the public. He assured the delegation of his readiness to work closely with the committee to enhance safety and security across the state.
The visit also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas, discuss pressing security challenges, and chart a way forward for more robust collaboration in tackling crime and maintaining peace in Lagos State.

The PCRC remains committed to its mandate of building stronger police-community partnerships for a safer and more secure Nigeria.
