I was delighted to join members of the APC Oshodi Chapter, distinguished dignitaries, vibrant youths, and sports enthusiasts as an invited guest at the grand finale of the Lagos Street Soccer Competition 2.0, held yesterday, Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Oshodi.
The laudable event was organised by Hon. Adebanji Atewogboye (SKIBANJ), the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Grassroots Sports.
I commend Hon. Atewogboye for this remarkable initiative, which provided an engaging and inspiring platform for young people and women to participate, connect, showcase their talents, and build meaningful relationships through sports.
The tournament was well organised, exciting, inclusive, and deeply encouraging. It is an excellent model of grassroots youth engagement and empowerment that deserves to be emulated across our local governments.
This initiative also aligns perfectly with my vision of bringing young people together, on a common platform where they can discover, develop, and showcase their talents while creating opportunities for personal growth and community development.
Event such as this demonstrate the true spirit of unity, energy, teamwork, and passion that continue to define our great party under the leadership of our visionary President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Seeing the enthusiasm, creativity, and determination of our youths at the event of yesterday, further inspires me to continue advocating for greater opportunities, empowerment, and talent development across Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I.
My commitment to youth empowerment, grassroots development, and the creation of platforms, where our young people can thrive remains unwavering.
Together, we can build a brighter, more prosperous Oshodi community, where every young person has the opportunity and platform to succeed.
