  • MY VISION FOR IFAKO-IJAIYE 02: BRING THE DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY TO EVERY HOME ….Hon. Abidemi Hakeem Olalekan Abidex | ADC Candidate, Ifako-Ijaiye State Constituency 02 As the 2027 general elections approach, the conversation in Ifako-Ijaiye State Constituency 02 is shifting from promises to performance, from politics to people. The people deserve representation that delivers, leadership that listens, and a government that works for them. That is the commitment I, Hon. Abidemi Hakeem Olalekan, popularly known as Abidex, am bringing to the race as the ADC Candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye 02 at the Lagos State House of Assembly. Speaking with selected members of the media at my residence in Millennium Estate, Ijaiye, Lagos, I made it clear: my vision is to ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt in every nook and cranny of Ifako-Ijaiye 02. PEOPLE-FIRST REPRESENTATION For too long, representation has been distant. The gap between the government and the governed must be closed. My priority is to make government visible, accessible, and accountable to the people of Ojokoro, Ijaiye, Obawole, Fagba, and all communities within Constituency 02. Leadership is service. And service means solving real problems: light, roads, health, jobs, and dignity for our traders, artisans, and young people. MY 5-POINT AGENDA FOR IFAKO-IJAIYE 02 Youth Empowerment & Job Creation Our youths are the engine of this constituency. Under my leadership, we will drive skills acquisition, tech training, entrepreneurship grants, and direct linkages to jobs in both the public and private sectors. We will also ensure youth inclusion in governance and decision-making. A government that ignores its youth mortgages its future. Stable Power Supply No community can develop in darkness. I will work with the Lagos State Government, IBEDC, and relevant agencies to improve power supply and push for constituency-specific interventions such as transformers, solar streetlights, and advocacy for better metering. Small businesses cannot thrive when NEPA takes light. Good Road Network & Infrastructure* From inner streets to major roads, our people deserve motorable roads, proper drainage, and safe pedestrian walkways. I will prioritize constituency projects that open up communities, reduce travel time, and attract business. Infrastructure is the backbone of development. Better Health Facilities Health is wealth. We will push for the upgrade of primary health centers, improved access to drugs, regular medical outreaches, and health insurance enrollment for vulnerable families. No mother should lose a child to a preventable cause. No trader should choose between medicine and food. Tax Equity & Business Support I will champion a tax system that is fair and productive. The idea is simple: when you pay tax, the taxpayer must see returns. We will advocate for policies where revenue collected is translated into visible projects, business support grants, market upgrades, and ease of doing business for our MSMEs. Government must be a partner, not a burden, to traders and entrepreneurs. WHY ABIDEX? TESTED AND TRUSTED I am not new to service. Over the years, I have worked with communities, supported initiatives, and built relationships across Ifako-Ijaiye. The people know me. I have been tested in private and public engagements, and I have been found to be committed, accessible, and accountable. This is why I say to you: I am tested and trusted. I understand the pain points of our people because I live among them. I feel what you feel. And with your mandate, I will turn those feelings into action. A CALL TO ACTION Ifako-Ijaiye 02 deserves better. Better representation. Better results. Better tomorrow. With your PVC and your support, we can change the narrative. We can elect a representative who will not disappear after elections, but one who will be in the trenches with you, fighting for your interests at the Lagos State House of Assembly. Vote ADC. Vote Abidex for a Better Ifako-Ijaiye 02. The time to build a constituency that works for all of us is now. Let us do it together. Signed, Abidex Media Team For: Hon. Abidemi Hakeem Olalekan “Abidex”
